Hi, I’m Sheena
A Somatic Therapeutic Coach – specialising in the areas of sex, sexuality and relationships.
My own personal and professional journey has taught me to recognise and acknowledge how difficult it can be to reach out and seek support. One of my core beliefs is that as humans we have the right to live full and healthy lives. The role of sex, sexuality, sexual and reproductive health are an integral part of a healthy and fulfilling human existence.
You will find me warm, empathetic, non-judgemental, professional and often humorous.
I am able to talk about sex and all things taboo in an open and frank way and with an attitude of acceptance and genuine curiosity.
I offer an integrative, person centred, trauma informed approach to therapy, providing a safe, supportive and confidential environment. Space is held for you to explore the parts of you that are personal and quite often painful especially if it concerns sexual function, orientation, behaviours and feelings.
My mission is to support you in releasing pain and reclaiming pleasure, emotionally, physically and psychologically.
My vision is to provide a mental health and well-being service where therapy and therapeutic services are free from religious dogma, considered social norms and discrimination regardless of gender or sexual orientation.
It’s normal to want a good sex life
We all deserve to have good sex lives.
But for many, sex can be more of a problem than a source of pleasure.
No, We cant always have high sexual desire and automatic genital responses despite believing that sexual response is biological and therefore good sex should just happen naturally.
As human beings our neocortex is an integral part of our sexual functioning and how we perceive experiences and apply meaning often determines how we function sexually. Our past experiences, learned beliefs, emotional and physical experiences play an integral role in our ability to have emotionally satisfying sex or feeling vulnerable and negative towards intimacy.
While working with me you will learn to identify and befriend the very thing that prevents you from leading a fulfilled and enjoyable life. Through the therapeutic process of learning to feel and trust again, you will take back control of your body and create the change needed to feel greater self love, trust & safety towards reconnection with our own bodies and with others.
